Oceans Deep is comprised of hundreds of individual paintings of aquatic species that reside in tropical regions. The structure of the puzzle reveals the voronoi pattern that is evidenced in urchin larva, turtle shells, coral and various other marine organism. Microplastics are scattered within the framework to imply that these species are threatened from human presence and plastic pollution. Viewers are invited to explore this piece like a scuba diver, holding a flashlight up to the various animals to uncover a network of flourescent painted lines that create a web of connections between all of the aquatic species.
