Earth Core is a mixed media artwork referencing the tightly bound core of our Earth. The core is knotted, bound and tied to represent the condensing quality of it’s center. Made from recycled materials, this piece also comments on the changing state of the planet, as it is being redesigned by our human presence and impact that alters the biosphere. Cables, wires, and debris symbolize pollution, industry and hyperconnectivity that reconfigure and reorient Earth’s fundamental nature.
