Left Behind is a video animation composed of 3D-scans of hand-drawn arctic landscapes on plastic shards. The plastic debris was found and collected along the shoreline of Svalbard, Norway near the North Pole. The plastic waste floats on the water’s surface like icebergs exposing what humanity left behind. Throwing our trash away is a myth – there is no away and traces of our humanity are visible even in the most far-reaching places on Earth.
